Who doesn't love a good "modern-day Robin Hood" tale? There exists in Las Vegas an anonymous high-stakes card player known only as RobinHood702 (Robin Hood 702). The 702 is a reference to the Las Vegas area code. Last year around this time, brave Sir Robin took on a mission to help a family out of debt with his blackjack winnings. And this season, he's at it again.
And this time, he's asking you to submit your story to his website, robinhood702.com. People with heavy debt and financial problems are encouraged to send 1-3 minute video clips of them explaining their situation. He'll choose one story that touches him most, and then fly the family to Vegas so that they can actually watch him win them a whole lot of money. He guarantees that no matter what happens on the table, at least half of the family's bills will be paid down.
Somehow I don't think my student loan debts would be very touching to RobinHood702, but it feels good knowing that there's a family out there about to get some serious help, who really needs it. Emily Moulton said (gather.com)
