Lenovo’s IdeaPad Y550P: The Most Powerful Core i7 Notebook?
Lenovo showed us their very first gaming laptoprunning an Intel Core i7 processor. With a 15.6-inch screen, the Ideapad Y550P packs a good punch that could beat most desktops
out there.
Wasn’t sure if the Core i7 processor was rated at just 1.6GHz but since it’s got Turbo Boost Technology
, I think the CPU can overclock on its own when the need arises.

You get a Core i7 CPU, 500GB HDD, 8GB DDR3 RAM, Nvidia GeForce GT 240M with 1GB RAM, a Blueray drive and Windows 7 Home Premium. The 15.6″ screen has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels. Of course, those who need to get their entertainment on-the-go will have the choice of picking up the Blu-ray drive instead of the Super Multi DVD drive that comes as a standard. An integrated sub-woofer adds to the audio quality be it gaming or watching movies, where it works well in tandem with the automatic theater quality audio/video optimization. Each purchase of the IdeaPad Y550P will come with Windows 7 Home Premium, where prices start from $1,399 (Php95,000+) upwards.

This model will be available in the market starting January 2010,
also available in laptop/notebook version (Y450 - Y550 - Y650) Y series
